Ruffles and frills are ruling the fashion week ramps. As I type this, it is everywhere at the Paris fashion Week. From Miu Miu to Alexander McQueen to Balmain, the top designers can’t seem to get enough of this trend. At the New York Fashion Week too, we saw designers like Jason Wu and Prabal Gurung among others incorporate this feminine, flirty detail, giving it a high fashion makeover that is nothing like your childhood frocks with flounces and ruffles.
We tried to incorporate this trend with our current hot favourites — jumpsuits. Well, jumpsuits and playsuits have been hawt for quite a while now and if don’t have any in your wardrobe yet, time to hurry up girl. They can be both androgynous (another uber hot trend) and feminine chic and can be worn both for casual brunches, at sexy nightouts and even in the office if you keep the accessories and silhouettes toned down. And yes, you don’t need to worry about not having the perfect body to flaunt jumpsuits. Just choose an anti-fit one and you are all set.
Like this Periwinkle Jumpsuit I picked up from http://www.stalkbuylove.com/. It’s made from lightweight denim and is really comfy even during muggy monsoon days. The ruffle at one sleeve is what attracts attention. Simply pair it with a cuff and your favourite pair of sneakers (whites are really in vogue at the moment). The bottom is wide legged so a pair of killer heels would take this one from day to night. Some shimmery lipstick and eye makeup and you are all set to turn this into a nightwear pick as well. In fact, this is actually three favourites rolled into one: denim, jumpsuits and ruffles. It is both feminine and flirty and is just perfect.

Have fun flaunting two trends together this Durga Puja.
